A Brisbane man is facing attempted murder charges after an alleged hit-and-run in the city’s southeast on Saturday night.
Police have alleged that around 11.30pm a man and woman were deliberately struck by a car inside the parking lot of a pub on Finucane Road, Alexandra Hills.
Two people were taken to hospital including a 25-year-old Victoria Point woman who sustained critical injuries and remains in care in a serious but stable condition.
A 24-year-old man was also taken to hospital but has since been discharged.
On Sunday, a 34-year-old Salisbury man was arrested after police located him with a vehicle alleged to have been used in the incident.
He has been charged with two counts of attempted murder and after being refused bail is due to appear before Cleveland Magistrates Court on Monday.
